Leviticus 19:28
I've had this idea ever since a youth minister/family friend saw my tattoos and told me to read Leviticus 19:28. I bet he thought it would change my life and I would regret all my sins, because I'm so religious.... Wrong. Instead I've found some humor in this, and it has since inspired a new tattoo.

Steps for forwarding forwards
1. Don't do it.
2. See #1.
3. If you must disobey 1 and 2, cut yourself.
4. Put some effort into cleaning up the email:
-- a) Remove all but one instance of "Fwd" from the subject. I don't need to be told 20 times that what I'm about to think about reading is a forward. Once is more than enough, and will also increase the likelihood that I will actually open the email.
-- b) Remove everything between the original "Forwarded Message" (or appropriate counterpart) line and the actual content of the email itself. I don't need to see 50 emails of people I don't know or will every meet, nor do I need to hear about how funny or emotional the 4th person before you thought the email was. And I don't want to scroll down 8374 lines before I read two paragraphs about brass monkeys.
-- c) Remove any grotesque and unnecessary middle school styling and graphics. I can read something just fine without it being 137pt font, bold and bright red. And I'm not 4 years old - I don't need a little fuzzy rabbit holding a candy cane to make me laugh. Actually, ctrl-A + Delete is a fine key combination to properly format any forward.
If you fail to put an effort to number 4, I will delete your supposed life changing forward, and write your name on the board with 3 checks after it, since that will clearly meet your level of mental understanding for being bad.

29 days
What a weekend! Bar and sushi Wednesday after work with the crew plus Julie was in town from New Orleans. Thursday was dinner and waaaaaay too much cider and catch phrase (if there is such a thing as too much). Friday we all just bummed around on the couch till dinner at the Mexican joint. Saturday was Pyramid Alehouse for dinner then the Seattle Underground Tour, where I discovered the whores back in the 1800's were older leftovers from San Fransico. Afterwards we found a bar that is Minnesota themed with Leinie's, cheese curds and Ambo-like pizza. God it was awesome! Too bad it's on the north side so a driver is required, but what can ya do? Today was spent just bummin' around. Although I have started a 'complicated' long distance relationship, and it definitely has potential to turn into something amazing... so we'll see. ;) Although we still have 29 days till our first official date.

Gobble Gobble
Hooray for a 3 day week! Hooray for a slow bar and sushi restaurant on a busy bar night! Hooray for friends, hooray for beer. :-p But most of all, hooray for new connections that could turn into something longterm and amazing. :) dug happy.
Happy Turkey day!

Wisconsin was good for something...
This has been an amazing couple of weeks. The future is looking bright(er than usual), and I'm feeling a level of happiness I haven't felt in a while. Is it cheesy? Sure, but that's just how I roll. We'll see what happens over the next couple of months, so for now I'll enjoy my Mega Fun Dough and Slinky Jr! :)

Friday's Eve
So today was a good day! New stuff, borrowed Gears 1 from the boss, and tomorrow is payday! Hooray!
The new stuff is going to be.... amazing. I love jQuery. It's going to be gooooooood.
Oh yes, and Friday's Eve?! Hooray! Tri-dub-T2!

QuadW
Just another day in the conf. room. But my boss claims tomorrow we can do new stuff. I say I'll believe it when I see it...
Ahh well. Tonight I have whiskey, and that's all I need right now. That, and a good massage, and a good lady friend, and a million dollars. But I'll settle for whiskey.

Tri-dub-T!
Hey guess what! Spent the day in the conference room! But today I'm home before 7.30pm, and I actually feel like we accomplished a lot, or are at least on the path to do so tomorrow. I've given up on hope for new stuff for a while. Ah well. :)
Tuesday!

Black holes and Super novas
So maybe I was a little off... we spent 10 hours in the conference room yesterday. Being the black hole of productivity which that room is, I feel like maybe time could've been better spent individually. But then again, going over what we did was probably better for the group. I think the worst part was we came in expecting to do new stuff, and then had this bomb dropped on us, unexpectedly, and it just drained us as the day went on.
*sigh* Hopefully today is better...

Ghost in the machine
We have a new server rack at the office, which we acquired for free, and it's shiny, black, and has little blinking lights behind the black plastic door. It's very hi-tech looking, and gives a fresh feel to our "server room" which is essentially a closet with some desks. Previously, our servers were just sitting on the floor with a table top board across the top for the monitor, but now... new life. And tomorrow is my 3 month mark (therefore end of probationary period) with my job, so I'm pretty excited about that. It's going to be a good week.

Lazy Saturday
I love me some homemade cider, but it's not as pleasant in the morning as, say, whiskey or beer. Ah well. Still delicious. Today will be spent watching movies and just being lazy. Too bad I don't have anyone to spend it with right now... someday.

dug hungry
slow internet in conf. room plus not eating lunch yet due to problem solving bullshit issues equals dug angry/hungry..... grrrr

back to the fishbowl
Today will be spent in the conference room... big windows, not unlike a fishbowl... banging out our process for change control and bug squishing. Oh, and cleaning up code, too. Should be a super exciting fantastic day...

one squish, two squish, red squish, blue squish
So squishing bugs in releases instead of developing new functionality? Not so fun. Kill one, two rise up to take it's place. Here's to hoping we land a couple of these deals coming up so we can hire on some more people to handle some of this grunt work... Ah well. Nothing worth having is easy to acquire.
Which reminds me of something else entirely... "bullshit." That's what cliche's really are. Pure bullshit. Life gives you a taste then fucks you in the ass. Not that I'm bitter about anything... but... I am. If I could rip out what's left of my heart I would do it. But alas, I need to hang onto some of it in hopes of someone else wanting it. We shall see....
