Settling in...

So yeah, methinks since I've established a few things in my life, a web presence is the next thing, so I'm going to set up a blog on my website and start [hopefully] using that.

Yup, that's how it's gonna be. It can be found at blog.dougjohnson.info. :)

dig, and be dug.

You don't have to understand here to be here...

So it's been more a collection of silence lately, but hey, I never said I would say things all the time. ;)

I've come to realize many things lately. I won't bore you with the details, but basically one thing that is frustrating is my ability, or lack thereof, to express what I see and think in my head on paper. I dream in vivid color, with literally story lines that epic movies are made of, but when I sit down to write them out.... nothing. At least nothing interesting. I see pictures in my inner eye, but when I try to draw them... stick figures and blocks and circles. For instance, I have this amazing vision of what I want my next big tattoo to be, but I have no way of truly describing it. I dunno. Maybe it's just the vicodin the doc gave me for my toe until I get it cut up on Monday, but even now I have all these thoughts and images in my head, and just want to write and write, but I can't because I get too bored with it. It's like my brain is thinking too fast, too far ahead... I just need to slow it down, take things one word/thought at a time... but the only ways I can think of to do that are not necessarily ones I want to pursue. I just need to find something.. maybe get back into the readings of Zen. They helped before. They'd probably help again. Hmmm...
